A White Christmas for Us!

We sure enjoyed our time at the Cook Cabin over Christmas break.  With a house full of little nieces and a nephew, made for a very busy vacation time but it was a blast!

For some reason, Annie was done
sledding for the week after her first run.

You gotta love that forced smile for the camera.
Silly Val Val

Val "helping" Chuck with the sweeping.

Chuck somehow managed to sneak in a little nap. Lucky for him.

Prepping for Marc's B-day feast!

The Grandest of the Grand!

In August of 2009, Chuck and I took a road trip to Vegas to attend a seminar. So we decided to make a stop along the way that was actually out of the way but it was worth the extra few hours! Here's why...
The GPS we used took us on a "shorter" route that lead us on a dirt
road to the middle of nowhere! But we decided to venture it out!
Chuck almost went for a bull ride.

The pictures don't do it justice!

I wouldn't mind eating my lunch with this view everyday!

Our stay was very short. We camped out for one night and got up in time to watch the sun rise. We then made our way to Las Vegas just in time to check in our hotel and register for the Family Life Marriage conference. The trip was too short but all in all it was a great experience.

Creation

As I've gone through some of our pictures, I'm reminded of how much I love the outdoors and all of        creation, despite some of the buzzing around me creepy, crawling critters that ALWAYS choose me for
their target! But there's a purpose for everything that God has created. Here are some pics I've taken over the last few years. Enjoy!
You gotta love those giant mosquitos that eat the little
mosquitos that try to eat us BIG human beings.

I wonder how many different camouflages
this moth is capable of?
Changed. A new life from an old one.
Provides lots and lots of "tootsie rolls".
Birds fill our ears with cheery tunes where ever we go.

Always in survival mode but so entertaining
to watch and listen to.

A man's best friend indeed!

Peaceful but always attentive to their surrounding.
Blooms of Summertime.
Spreading their seed we don't
 necessarily appreciate
 in our nicely kept yards.

A promise in the midst of the darkest storms.
