Breakfast and Beanies

I forgot to post these from a few weeks ago after the Mouser girls stayed overnight. Breakfast on a Saturday morning at The Pantry, ALWAYS a sweet treat!

BE HAPPY!!!

What do people see in me as I go about my everyday life? As a true believer in Christ Jesus, do I have joy? Growing up, I don't remember very joyous people who claimed to know and love God. That bums me out because I grew up going to church but never really got the message that Christians were supposed to be happy because they have been saved by grace! God has really gotten a hold of me over the last few years so I feel like I'm learning more about God and myself more than ever before! God is good all of the time. So times when I feel that sense of hopelessness in this life, I need to remind myself that my name is written in the book of life! I need to give it all to the One who loves me and to be joyful! GOD IS GOOD ALL OF THE TIME!!! I'm so thankful that I SEE now! Too many years wasted because of selfish blindness and self pity but God is merciful and full of grace!

I just want to start sharing some video sermons that I've been listening to in the evenings because I hope that they can be as much of an encouragement to you as they have been to me. God is so good and I'm so encouraged for the opportunity in my life to SEE more of Him and it's only the beginning! It's scary to look back on my life to see how "lukewarm" of a person I've been and to now understand what God says about "Lukewarm Christians" (Rev.3:14-17).  But all the more of a blessing to recognize how God has chosen me to help me see myself and my heart the way that it has been and now (Job 33:29-30) to be able to learn to walk in the Spirit in Power, Love, and Self Control!

Good Ol' McCall

Our first mini road trip with Ally and Sierra to McCall for the Ice Festival made for a memorable time. The carnival itself was a disappointment but the girls seemed to have fun walking about, playing in the snow, listening to a live band, eating corn dogs over the frozen lake, and oohing and awing over the fireworks that wrapped up the festival. 

I was also reminded of how much I admire moms. We had some close calls with bathroom accidents but with some encouragement to " keep holding, we're almost there! We're here, let's go! Oh wait, someone is in the restroom. Ok, you're doing great. Keep holding. We're almost in!" and then lots of praises for how impressed I was with how well it was held until reaching a restroom, as a HUGE sigh of relief rushed over me.

Concentration Takes Tongue

It's tradition to take the nieces out to The Pantry for breakfast anytime they stay overbnight with us. Annie has stayed over  with us in the past but for some reason we didn't get a chance to take her for breakfast so this was her first time! While waiting so very patiently for her special hotcake, she colored and we giggled at this sight. Little cutie!
